Photofacials are “intense pulsed light” (IPL) treatments that reveal younger and healthier-looking skin. Photofacials can dramatically improve sun damage, brown spots, enlarged pores, broken or distended capillaries, redness and flushing (Rosacea). They stimulate the production of collagen and minimize wrinkles around your eyes, mouth and forehead. They are safe, quick and effective with no downtime. Your skin will feel smoother and look better after each treatment.
Rejuvalux Photofacials are available at select spa locations. Please check with a spa coordinator for availability.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who benefits from photofacials?
People of all ages can benefit from photofacials to improve conditions such as hyperpigmentation, broken capillaries, spider veins, redness, and other issues due to environmental aging and genetics.
What does my skin look like immediately after treatment? How soon after can I apply makeup?
Your skin may feel warm and be pink in color right after your facial. Occasionally there can be some mild redness and swelling. The brown spots on your skin may darken before they flake off over 7-10 days. Makeup may be worn immediately and most people return to their regular schedule right after treatment.
What is the process?
The treatment area is cleansed and a cool gel is applied. When the pulse of light is delivered, the sensation is similar to the snap of a rubber band. After the treatment, the skin is cleansed and an aloe vera gel is applied. Treatment times vary from 15 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.
Can I suntan and receive photofacials?
Since the IPL light source is attracted to the darker pigment in your skin, we are unable to perform these treatments on tanned skin. We request that clients discontinue the use of self-tanners during these sessions.
Will I need more than one treatment?
For best results, a series of five sessions are recommended. Results vary according to the area being treated and individual skin conditions.
